Slow to anger

I’ve noticed an interesting change in opinion on the Libertarian Blogosphere lately, and for that matter the populace in general. Around the time of the election the thinking was, that maybe there was hope for change and we could forget about expensesgate because we would have a government that would listen to the citizens.

At first all was well, as most people will give the benefit of doubt to a newly elected Government. This attitude has now changed as bloggers see that this government is no better than the last, and in some cases equally as useless.

It’s begun to dawn on so many people, that most politicians are only in it for the money and prestige, and couldn’t give a fuck about what the man in the street thinks or wants. Why do they not realise why voter participation is falling by the year?

What interested me last weekend, whilst I was staying at my Brother in law’s house, was how attitudes are changing in the general public. Five years ago my Brother in Law and his wife were both Guardinistas (SPIT) and embraced the liberal left consensus . Today they read the Torygraph and question that paper’s credentials as being too weak and unquestioning.

But I’d better get back to the point of this post. I’m seeing a swing in the Blogosphere away from let’s unelect them to actually having them swing from lampposts. If the blogosphere is representative of at least a small number of the populace, then there are interesting times ahead. It takes a while for the average man in the street to get riled, especially when they are subjected to the insidious output from the Brainwashing Broadcasting Corporation, but the penny will finally drop.

It amazes me how shallow our wankers betters, in the Westminster bubble, both politicians and media are more obsessed with attacking News International, than  the slightly more important  subject of a global financial melt down which could come our way in the very near future. It must be a very opaque bubble indeed.

Why don’t they realise that they will bankrupt us with utterly stupid and ruinously expensive green energy policy?  Adding more to the household bills of those who can least afford it.

Why don’t they realise that their attack on civil liberties such as the smoking ban is now fostering a smouldering hatred of those who voted for it, without thought of the consequences?

My prediction is, that in time, when the true scale of the situation becomes apparent (And it may be measured in months or years) there will be a revolution against how this country is run and it won’t be pretty. The people  of this nation have been slow to anger through the ages but when they have……………………….

The governing of the country is up to you.

I’ve been reading a few blogs today where it has been mooted that government as it stands, is totally out of touch with what , we the people need.

What we have is a self sustaining oligarchy of politicians of all colours maintaining a status quo, that we the people, have no power as it stands to alter.

We have seen in the past few days, how the power of the Blogosphere and social media sites such as twitter can succeed against those who would deny us the rights that are ours. The right to freedom of speech.

The internet is a powerful tool to those that care to use it responsibly  and we should use it to brush aside the misconceptions that our elected representatives are somehow all knowing and better than the average man in the street. In fact I expect that the average man in the street has a better understanding of basic economics than our political and MSM elite.

What those very elected politicians have forgotten is that they are there to serve the people. Instead all we get is professional politicians of this new age, just vying hold on to a system of politics that is devoid of any resemblance of humility. What we need  is a complete shake up of the entire constitutional makeup of our political system.

One example of the ridiculous is that fifty MPs discuss at length, why we shouldn’t agree to future EU bailouts, only to have it amended by the government whipping 250 MP’s to support the governments position. That alone throws the whole parliamentary system into disrepute and farce.

What this stresses is that we, the people, are the power in the land. And the only thing that constrains that power is the myth that we need rulers to guide and manage us. We do not - we need government, and particularly central government, only to provide limited functions on our behalf, acting as servants not our masters. To get back to that state requires nothing more than a simple article of faith - a belief in our own power. We are more powerful than those who claim to rule us, if we choose to use that power.

We really need to take back the power into people of this country that used to be great, but is now being sold out by a clique who only have their political careers at heart.

I am of the old era, born in 49. It’s up to you, children of the modern era, how you wish to be governed. I wish you well. You reap what you sow. Don’t blame me. You have the choice.

You really wonder why people have no shame.

 

The Davey family's £815-a-week state handouts pay for a four-bedroom home, top-of-the-range mod cons and two vehicles including a Mercedes people carrier.

Father-of-seven Peter gave up work because he could make more living on benefits.

Yet he and his wife Claire are still not happy with their lot.

With an eighth child on the way, they are demanding a bigger house, courtesy of the taxpayer.

Oh and there are more hell spawn on the way. She wants 14. FFS.

She's earned the right though. No she hasn't. She's never had a full time job in her life. *spits*

And of course they have to live frugally. Nope.

At their semi on the Isle of Anglesey, the family have a 42in flatscreen television in the living room with Sky TV at £50 a month, a Wii games console, three Nintendo DS machines and a computer - not to mention four mobile phones.

And they have contempt for the hands that feed them.

'It doesn't bother me that taxpayers are paying for me to have a large family,' added Mrs Davey.

'We couldn't afford to care for our children without benefits, but as long as they have everything they need, I don't think I'm selfish. *spits again*

The Climate change house of cards is starting to tumble

I see now that New Zealand's climate data is now coming under scrutiny.

The NIWA [the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric research], are refusing to release data. Are they today's CRU?

In New Zealand's case, the figures published on NIWA's [the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric research] website suggest a strong warming trend in New Zealand over the past century:

Their graph shows the predictable warming trend as does the CRU one.

But analysis of the raw climate data from the same temperature stations has just turned up a very different result:

Gone is the relentless rising temperature trend, and instead there appears to have been a much smaller growth in warming, consistent with the warming up of the planet after the end of the Little Ice Age in 1850.

I've just been reading more of the data that was hacked from the CRU

The more I read, the more I'm convinced that this scam is going to come off the rails in a big, big way.
You only have to visit Real climate to feel the fear, that the gravy train maybe coming to an end.

They'll fight I'm sure, but the more they try to hide, will be their undoing.

Jobsworth alert, Ducky

It's about time this sort of thing stopped.

A mother has been fined £75 for feeding ducks in a park with her toddler son.

Vanessa Kelly had taken 17-month-old Harry on his weekly visit to the to feed ducks when she was approached by a council warden.

The reason being given that it would attract vermin. It certainly did that.

I really am losing the will to live when I read articles like this. Bloody jumped up little Hitler.

Jack Straw - Traitor

I cannot believe that jack Straw can deny us the contents of Cabinet minutes for the justification of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. To use the excuse that this would undermine confidence in "Cabinet Government" is completely out of order in a democratic nation.

Democracy is a form of government in which power is held directly or indirectly by citizens under a free electoral system.

By denying us, the people, a right to know why this decision was made to invade, is to deny us a further right. The right of accountability.

I will say that in the short term he may get away with it, but he'd better be prepared for the countless extra people who will be affronted by this decision and will take to the streets in the summer.
