What if......

We're heading for a new ice age?

All we've be led to believe over the last twenty years is that we are all going to die because of catastrophic global warming. What if all those overpaid scientists are wrong, and we've been heading in the wrong direction?

I mean where is this warming in the last three years? Where are the drier summers (UK)?

The truth is that we have had three abysmal years in a row of wet and cold conditions. In fact the beginning of this year has been the coldest year in the last 208 years.

German meteorologists say that the start of 2013 is now the coldest in 208 years.
If this is true then our Governments, past and present, have some serious questions to be asked.

1. Why, with all the resources at your disposal, did you get it so disastrously wrong?

2. In light of this fact, will you now order the mass building of conventional power stations to cover the looming energy gap?

3. Will you now withdraw funding from those organisations and persons that have promoted and encouraged this myth of Global warming? (University of East Anglia, and the Chief Scientist spring to mind).

4. Will you you now close down, or at least re-order the Department of Energy and Climate change? And sack the head of.

5. Will you immediately stop the building of anymore Bird Mincers Wind Turbines, and insist that as the existing ones breakdown, no money will be wasted on their repair?

6. Feed in Tariffs. Will you remove these forthwith?

7.. And Finally. Will you make a fulsome apology for believing this scam? On the front page of all the MSM for a minimum of at least one week would be the very least you can do..

I'm not holding my breath.

This blog has mixture of the serious, fun, and the odd bit of titillation.

However it is the articles that I write in my fight against wind turbines and other Ecoloon fuckwittery that sees my stats soar. On the back of that, my conclusion is that there’s  a very large portion of the population, (Home and abroad) that are coming around to the fact that they are being conned. ( I’ve yet to have an adverse comment).

I truly believe that the green agenda is an evil by a small powerful  minority, that have an almost religious belief that is so deluded, that they make Islam seem benign. (If I don’t post tomorrow it’s because I’ve been arrested for a religious hate crime).

One of the sites in question is Campaign against Climate change. (They send me an Email every day warning me of evil denier articles)

Here is a small part of one of their posts.

The streets of London rang to the sound of chants for "Climate Justice" on the Global Day of Action for the climate on Saturday 3rd December.  Marchers had gathered at the North end of Blackfriars Bridge where they were joined by a group from Christian Ecology Link coming from a Prayer meeting at St Mary le Bowe, a group of Buddhists coming from a meditation session at the tate Modern  - and a substantial contingent coming via a 'Walk of Shame' through the City from a Climate 'teach in' at the Occupy camp at St Paul's.  Placards demanding 'climate Justice' and dispaying  '7%' as a way of expressing the inequity of business as usal on climate change  (see below) peppered the crowd as it moved slowly down embankment before turning right down Horseguards Avenue into Whitehall.

Says it all really.

Unfortunately we have a government that believes this quackery so maybe us climate realists are in for the long slog.

Maybe I should be posting on health instead? After all, I wrote this post in a haze of tobacco smoke and at least two three four units of alcohol.

The Ecoloon fraternity are determined to see AGW sceptics burn.

You might remember in the dim and distant past that video doing the rounds, called 10:10. (Think of the Cheeeldren) Well they’re at it again with the video below. Basically, if you don’t subscribe to worshipping at the altar of climate change you are going to burn in hell.

Nice bunch these AGW Ecoloons.

The Greens will freeze. (Hopefully)

Another of these may be about to happen on a planet near you.

The Maunder Minimum

Early records of sunspots indicate that the Sun went through a period of inactivity in the late 17th century. Very few sunspots were seen on the Sun from about 1645 to 1715. Although the observations were not as extensive as in later years, the Sun was in fact well observed during this time and this lack of sunspots is well documented. This period of solar inactivity also corresponds to a climatic period called the "Little Ice Age" when rivers that are normally ice-free froze and snow fields remained year-round at lower altitudes. There is evidence that the Sun has had similar periods of inactivity in the more distant past. The connection between solar activity and terrestrial climate is an area of on-going research.

Global cooling when it happens is going to bite the Eco loons in their arses.

You take the average ecoloon.

He’s bought his eco friendly modern box which has all the credentials that will have Caroline Lucas wetting her pants with joy.

Loft insulation

Cavity wall insulation

Double glazing

Environmentally friendly paint

Eco friendly electric lamps

Condensing central heating boiler.

He might even have fitted a wind turbine or a solar panel or two.

The Scenario:

It’s now the year 2030 and world temperatures have continued to fall. The UK, in the years before  the hysteria about global warming/climate change was in full swing, failed to invest in conventional power generation. Coal, gas an nuclear. The time is nine O’clock at night, in the month of December. A high pressure is expected to sit over a province of the United States of Europe. (UK to you and me).

Disaster strikes.

One of our last overloaded coal fired power stations fails due to a bomb attack by one of the increasing number of home grown Muslim insurgent groups.

The temperature as forecast by the discredited Met Office is minus two degrees and rolling blackouts are happening all over the country.

Oh dear, you greens might say. We have made the concession that we support natural gas as an interim, not so dirty solution.

FAIL

I’m afraid to say that your modern condensing boiler will not work without those wiggly things called volts. IE Electrickery.

You have just condemned the young, infirm, and the elderly, to death through hypothermia.

Luckily FE will not be one of them because he lives in one of those old fashioned houses that have a fireplace and a chimney.

FUCK YOU CAROLINE LUCAS.

Rant over. Apologies for the bad language. (NOT)

3TW of Green power?

Here’s a number you need to keep in mind: 3 Terawatts. That’s about how much power They’re using in the USA right now.

If that were used for 100W incandescent bulbs you’d need 30 billion bulbs.

There’s no way renewable energy is going to come close to that.

That would require over 2 billion square meters of 100% efficient solar panels: that’s about the same area as all the land in Rhode Island (real solar panels are about 25% efficient so you’d need to pave Delaware’s land as well). And of course solar panels don’t do too well at night, so you’d need to at least double that area, that brings us to the land area of Hawaii, plus you’d need a way to store around 40 TWh’s which simply doesn’t exist. And all that ignores factors such as clouds, dirt, animals, etc.

So what about wind? The most powerful wind turbine today is ~7 MW, so you’d need around 500,000 of them. They have a rotor diameter of 126m, so they’d have to be at least 65m apart. That means they’d take up 6 billion square meters, about the same as all of Delaware. I can’t imagine it would be good for anything flying. Now this is the peak power, so we’d have to factor in all the time that the wind isn’t blowing hard enough, or when it’s blowing too hard. Again we need a storage system for mind-boggling amounts of energy. Also, has anyone looked at the climatological effects of taking 3TW of convective energy out of the atmosphere?

Both solar and wind suffer from a fatal flaw: They can’t be controlled. Grid operators can’t dial supply up (They can somewhat do down) to meet demand, and when you’re talking about the electric grid either you balance it or it balances itself…usually in some exciting manner.

Hydro’s pretty much tapped out in that country, not to mention ecomentalists flip their shit whenever someone mentions building dams. Same thing with geothermal, unless we want to start drilling in Yellowstone.

Nuclear could do it, but whenever you mention it the ecomentalists set a record in going from zero to stupid.

That leaves fossil fuels. There’s nothing else. Especially when it comes to moving stuff. We have nothing that comes close to the power density of hydrocarbons when it comes to mobile applications, and hydrocarbons are the only energy source that’s suitable for mobile applications. Everything else (e.g. hydrogen and ethanol) are just ways to make electricity mobile.

So he hoped it wouldn't be noticed, I suppose?

pachauri2

It really takes the biscuit.

Rajendra Pachauri was told that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change assessment that the glaciers would disappear by 2035 was wrong, but he waited two months to correct it. He failed to act despite learning that the claim had been refuted by several leading glaciologists.

The IPCC’s report underpinned the proposals at Copenhagen for drastic cuts in global emissions.

It makes you wonder what else he hasn't been telling us.

And the article ends with this bit of bluster.

“And within three or four days, we were able to come up with a clear and a very honest and objective assessment of what had happened. So I think this presumption on your part or on the part of any others is totally wrong. We are certainly never — and I can say this categorically — ever going to do anything other than what is truthful and what upholds the veracity of science.”

Dr Pacharui has also been accused of using the error to win grants worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Bring it on.

Ecoloonies banned here.

More of that white soot falling.

I had to laugh when I read an article today, where Sea Shepherd conservation Society's super duper new boat was trashed by a whaler. Now I'm not particularly keen on whaling, but these buggers got what they deserved. These idiots (and Greenpeace) are totally irresponsible when it comes to the rules of the road at sea.

They tried to claim that it was all the fault of the whaler.

'They were stopped dead in the water when the incident occurred,' Maclean said of the Ady Gil.

It doesn't look like it to me in the above video clip.
