Dan does it again

Daniel Hannan is being interviewed again in the USA. A good measured speech. However the Loony left are bound to make much of the fact that he admires, amongst others, Enoch Powell.

Pity is that he is only an MEP in the conservative party. He comes across as very Libertarian.

Daniel Hannan has made another superb speech to the Army and Navy club in the USA. No doubt he willed be howled down over here.
Will The BBC show it? I think not.

It seems that Dan Hannan's speech may at last have had an effect that the Twitter, My space, etc, Aficionados had not foreseen. With so much comment being aired in the MSM about how furious the population was over the speech about the NHS, it has again got the public engaging with a subject that no-one has dared to talk about.

Today's Telegraph carries an article by Dan Hannan, stating why he said these things, and by the comments pouring in, people are beginning to wake up to the fact that maybe the NHS is not the sacred cow that is made out to be.

Those politicians who have jumped onto the bandwagon to condemn the broadcast may actually have woken up the sleeping public at long last.

Only a short speech, but we must remember this insanity that we are paying over the top for.

Daniel Hannan and the Left

I've spent a while on various lefty/left leaning websites tonight. What is astounding is that, believe it or not, most of the comments about Daniel's speech have been positive. The gist of the comments is "I will never vote Tory, but I agree with what he said".

Hopefully the tide is about to turn.

Michael White of the Guardian has been attacked from all sides for his dismissive, and condescending remarks.

Even the comments on labourlist are about 60% in favour of Daniel Hannan's speech.

However, can we last, if that one eyed fuckwit decides to continue with a slash and burn policy for the next 440 days.
