Help

Is there anyone else out there that is having a problem with Google Reader?

Since I got back from my son’s place I’ve been driven to distraction by that heap of shit.

It’s programmed to RSS feed me up to 100 bogs that I read daily. These are displayed  in chronological order, newest first. Normally I would get up in the morning and start reading down the list until I get to one I’ve already read.

Blogger has decided that I’m being far too pedantic and has deemed that I’m too slow.

I find that after, say ten minutes, without any action by me, it refreshes the page. Thus putting be back to the top of the scroll. I then have to scroll down for what seems for ever to get back to where I left off.

Anyone had the same? And if so is there a fix?

Is there another RSS reader I can use?

  2. I can't help you with that one FE.

But, how the feck do permanently 'unsubscribe' to a Blog?

I know you can go into Trends, then 'delete' from there, but the next time you log-out/log-in - they're back again.

It's driving me round the twist.

  3. Joe.

As I've got a blog, I can enter my dashboard and go from there to delete a feed.

  5. Switched from googles annoying effort to www.bloglovin.com... one of my better decisions.

  7. I don't currently use RSS, and now have a policy of using Google less than previously.

As a short-term fix for your problem, why not try saving the HTML webpage (I assume it is) to file. Then open the file version (that will not change under your feet) which will, with good fortune, allow access to all the on-line links there-in.

But you'll have thought of that one already.

    Best regards
