Worry?

Worried about losing your job?

Worried about the fall of the value of your savings due to inflation?

Worried about your investments dropping through the stock market floor?

Worried that you can’t afford to heat your home this winter, AND eat?

Worried that you’re going to fry due to Global Warming? (No actually. I just put that in to placate the warmists).

Worried that the nation can’t defend itself due to the defence cuts?

These pale into insignificance if you’re the PRIME MINISTER of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE FROM PLASTIC BAGS, FFS.

plastic bags

Britain’s biggest supermarkets are today given an ultimatum by the Prime Minister: Radically reduce  the number of plastic bags you hand out by choice, or I will force you to by law.

I was going to call him an idiot, but that would be a slur on idiots. He is below idiot level. (Is a cretin lower than an idiot?)

The Prime Minister says it is ‘unacceptable’ that the number of single-use carrier bags rose last year by 333million – a 5 per cent increase from the previous year. Environmental campaigners say the bags, used for only 20 minutes on average, take up to 1,000 years to degrade.

Well I for one, applaud the carrier bag manufacturers for increasing their sales by 5%. I sure other businesses would love that growth.

Who says that carrier bags are only used once? Where do they get those figures? I for one use the same carrier bag many times whilst trudging up to the local shop to replenish the whisky stocks. (Without which, this post would not be written. You can’t really believe the drivel I write on this blog can be done sober, can you?).

Who knows that they can last 1,000 years? Are there teams of archaeologists digging up old Roman carrier bags, whilst we speak? When is the exhibition going to be held in the British museum? Are we going to see a 500 year old plastic bag going for mega bucks on the antiques road show?

Mr Camermong. You should be trying to run the country, not sucking up to the Daily Mail, and trying to garner votes from those of a so called green persuasion.

Stony Stratford–The end?

Bartlett1

Well maybe. But I’ll be waiting to see if councillor Bartlett tries again on September 20th.

Councillor Paul Bartlett's smoking ban proposals were the main item on the agenda last night at the Stony Stratford Town Council meeting.

Members of the public were invited to speak on the matter before the proposals were voted on by the Town Council.

Councillor Paul Bartlett's motions were later rejected by the Town Council. Nobody present was prepared to second either of the two motions that were on the agenda for the meeting. As a result, the proposals were discarded and did not need to be debated on further by the Town Council.

The whole article is HERE.

Ireland is doomed

I think O’bama is going to go nuts and nuke the emerald isle if he’s subjected to this.

JEDWARD!

Jedward

The public event is expected to attract around 20,000 people, with Jedward and Westlife set to perform for Mr Obama and his wife ahead of the president’s address.

Speaking to the BBC, the pop duo said: ‘We're very excited, it's an honour to perform for the most famous man in the world, after Simon Cowell that is.’

I agree with the twitter comments totally.

Twitter users have expressed their surprise at the decision to include Jedward in the musical line-up, with soulglider posting: ‘I fear for Obama, what will he make of #Jedward.’

Webstl added: ‘Dear TV, Please can we have a camera on Obama's bemused face during Jedward? Thanks.’

And charlisteele wrote: ‘Please don't show Obama Jedward. Please. Please. Please.’

Has the Republic sunk this low? It quite amazed me when these two twats were chosen to represent Ireland in the Eurovision song contest (not that I watched it).

Ban ban ban.

It’s all we ever hear these days.

The latest stupid, idiotic idea is…………………..

A health minister has suggested banning cars from streets on Sundays to revive outside play for children and tackle obesity.

Public health minister Anne Milton proposed road closures to get youngsters off their computers and enjoying sport and other physical activities.

What is it with these people? And where did she get this idea from?

"On Sundays they close certain streets in Colombia so that everybody can play in them. That is an outstanding idea".

FFS Columbia. They probably shut the streets to get their “product” to the drug boats quicker.

Odious Belgian Twat

No offence to the Belgians. But.

rumpoy

If you’re wondering. I’m referring to Herman Von Rompuy.* Yes that little man that came from nowhere as unelected President of the Council of Europe.

He’s just made a speech that should worry most of you who think that this country has any sovereignty left.

Firstly he is unshakeable in the view that the Euro is in our best interests.

Ever since, the fate of Europe and the euro have been intertwined.
The euro is the most visible and the most palpable sign of our common destiny. It is also our most
powerful tool.
Sharing a currency means that the decisions of one, affect all.
We have seen how! This spring, the crisis of a country of 10 million people became the crisis of 350
million people; early May, it even turned into a global threat.

And here is what he really wants.

We have together to fight the danger of a new Euro-scepticism.
This is no longer the monopoly of a few countries.
In every Member State, there are people who believe their country can survive alone in the globalised world.
It is more than an illusion: it is a lie!

Yes I am old enough to admit to voting for the Common Market. No Mr Rompy Pompy. I didn’t vote for a fucking United States of Europe. I want my country back.

* No I didn’t spell it wrong by mistake.

Don’t even think about buying property in Wales.

ciggie

Not if your a smoker.

Dr Tony Jewell, chief medical officer for Wales, said that stopping people lighting up in their own homes would protect their children from the dangers of passive smoking.

and.

'It could be seen as the final piece of the protection picture or at least adding to the growing public consensus on the social acceptability of smoking.'

I suspect they will do one of those surveys in Wales in the near future. One of those that is phrased like this.

“Should smoking be banned in homes for the sake of the cheeeldren?”

Of course they’ll get an 80% yes vote for that.

So then they’ll produce a law which they won’t have a hope in hell of enforcing.

I don’t live in Wales but if I did I’d just love a state sponsored, No smoking enforcement officer, to just try it on. It is my property and it is nothing to do with the state with what I do within it within reason. (Obviously murder is slightly over the top).

What has become of this country?

I need to sit down in a darkened room.

With a cigarette.

Twat de Jour

I give you. Wait for it. Tristan Osbourne.

This is the lefty that endorsed the ciggy busters stunt in Medway (That’s in Kent ), as a good thing.

Of course he’s the typical champagne socialist.

Words fail me.

Then he comes out with this utter cockwaffle.

Half of Medway's smokers will die from cancer, todays Medway Messenger has reported.
Despite the negativism and opportunism of libertarian and right wing bloggers, the local media has come out in support of this blog and government-backed and NHS campaigns to 'ciggy-bust' our way out of a cul-de-sac of health inequality.
According to the 277-page report, entitled
Investing in Health, it shows that the chief killers in Medway will be lung, breast, bowel and prostate cancer. Alcoholism will also cause more deaths from the disease.

Apart from the fact the report is entitled “Investing FOR health, there is no such claim as “Half of Medway's smokers will die from cancer” in the actual report.

He really is a lazy, silver spoon, champagne socialist of the highest order.

And if you really want to feel depressed watch this

Naturally they managed to sneak a “think of the cheeldren” in there.

To my everlasting shame. My son was at University with him.

Mind you, my son took a real degree.

Webeurope - fail

When you get crap like this it makes your blood boil.

Karl Winn of Taunton, 60, is the boss of a net design company named Webeurope and he employs 16 people. He was contacted by Forces Recruitment Services who asked if he would consider taking on ex-soldiers. His response was:

Personally, I'd rather recruit ex-drug dealers, convicts and even child molesters rather than consider anybody who has been in the pay of the British Government.'

'Anybody who has been in the pay of such a military force, and by their silence and complicity has condoned such illegal and immoral actions while accepting a monthly bloodstained pay-packet , certainly won't be considered for employment by us.'

'The reality for the families of their victims is that there will never be any justice, and there never will be any closure, for the loss of a son, a husband, a child, or a family member who has fallen victim to British Military personnel who are going beyond 'just doing their job'.

'Please remove us from your email list. Regards, Karl.'

What a nice man.

Dodge of the day at Conservative party conference

I had to giggle when I read this in the Times

Dodge of the day

Ken Livingstone was spotted by one conference witness being kicked off the train to Manchester. Apparently he was trying to blag his way on to an earlier train than his ticket permitted.

No shame at all. Well done to that guard.

Harriet hoisted with her own Petard

Harriet Harman says she has asked California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to shut down a website containing reviews of prostitutes.

Here is the letter from the site owners:

Dear Mrs. Harman,

I have a few points to make regarding your recent remarks regarding my website and your fantastic demand that the Governor of California close it down.

Firstly, PunterNet is not violating any laws. If it were, then surely the many websites catering to the US prostitution scene (where sex for pay is almost completely illegal) would already have been closed down.

In the USA, there is a concept called "freedom of speech" which is considered the most important personal right guaranteed by the Constitution. It exists specifically to prevent the sort of abuse of power that you are attempting. The Governor (indeed, even the President) has no authority with which to shut down a perfectly lawful enterprise such as PunterNet.

PunterNet was not the first, and is certainly not the only, website in the UK with the same subject matter. Rather than creating the demand for commercial sex, sites like PunterNet are a response to that demand, which has existed since the dawn of mankind and certainly long before the advent of the Internet!

One of the missions of PunterNet is education - to provide information and guidance in hopes that the commercial sex scene is limited to consenting adults and those who choose of their own free will to engage in it.

If sites like this one did not exist, and if prostitution were outlawed, then it would effectively be handed to organised crime on a platter - just as happened with liquor during Prohibition. If, on the other hand, sexwork is recognised as a legitimate, honourable profession, then there will be no market for the criminal elements, and the truly despicable aspects of the scene such as sex slavery and trafficking will die out. Surely that is a far more desirable goal than driving it back underground where it will then consist only of criminals and victims?

In closing, I would like to thank you for the huge influx of traffic to my website which your actions have caused. I am sure that the ladies who are a part of the PunterNet community thank you as well, as they will no doubt benefit financially from the many new clients who might otherwise never have found them.

Stupid Po faced cow got her comeuppance.

Automatically Guilty

An article in the Times today. Labour are considering changing motoring law so as to make drivers automatically guilty.

MINISTERS are considering making motorists legally responsible for accidents involving cyclists or pedestrians, even if they are not at fault.

So I'm going to be guilty if some Lycra clad, "Twat in a hat", runs into the back of me, or weaves in and out of the traffic and gets hit? Labour really are desperate to get someone to vote for them.

Where I live, they converted the pavements into cycle lanes, filling in the bus laybyes in the process, causing traffic snarl ups in the rush hour. Pity no-one uses these cycle lanes.

Totalitarian fuckwit

I read the article by that twat Dr. Alan Maryon-Davis. Seeing that I am past my prime, would he like to offer me free razor blades so I can slit my veins, and so prevent myself being a burden on the NHS?

Don't bother Alan, after your article, I shall buy my own, and do it shortly if you write any more of that totalitarian crap
