Sin Taxes

As you'll see and hear in the video below, sin taxes are only imposed to bring in revenue to the chancellor.

Certainly in my lifetime I've seen taxes on popular pastimes treble and take a sizeable chunk of dosh out of my wallet.

The problem is that no-one questions these taxes any more. They just shrug their shoulders with the words "The experts know best".

But do they? Take one example. We were exhorted for decades to eat margerine as butter was bad for us. Now we are being encouraged quietly to eat butter again.

Who the fuck are these so called experts and why are they not being publicly hanged?

The polar bears are doomed if we leave the EU.

You will also be destitute. This is scary indeed.

Mind you. If you showed this to some people they'd believe it. (It'll probably be shown on the BBC news just before voting day)

Back from the dead.

Not really.

One or two of you may have noticed that posts on this blog were becoming sparser and sparser in the last few months.

I was not well and eventually I was carted off to hospital in one of those vehicles with the blue lights on the top. (No, it was not a police car). I eventually ended up in a bed in the advanced medical care unit over the Easter holiday and spent ten days being watched over.

The interesting thing is that after I was discharged, I visited my GP and her first question was: "what did they diagnose you with". All I could reply with: "They never actually told me anything" They just discharged me.

I'm due to go back to hospital on an undisclosed later date for tests. Until then........

I'll try and post a few items off interest, but I may bore you with articles on why we should leave the EU.

You have been warned.

Brexit. The movie

Something to watch on this cool Saturday afternoon.

It's a bit long but worth the watch.

Why?

Google-Car

Why does this Google driverless car need wing mirrors?

Road rage from this Google car.

The result?

Last Wednesday I posted up an online poll on whether visitors to this blog wished to remain in the EU, or leave and become a self governing nation again. Below are the results.

Of course I don’t expect it to reflect the general population as a whole. The general public don’t get the time to read deeply on the rights and wrongs of the EU.

However it is food for thought. Even a forty percent less vote for leave would be a win for Brexit.

BTW. If you were one of the ten who voted to remain in this poll, I would be interested to have you comment below. Your views would be of interest to me.

And this is a politician who thinks remain europe will be good for us.

Conservative MP Matthew Hancock gives a car crash interview with Andrew Neil on the issue of UK possible exiting the EU. With an "impartial" document drawn up with the help of the Tory in-EU supporting civil service to try con people into not voting for Brexit, but Hancock doesn't even know facts on most the points he's talking about.

Vote leave puleeeese.

Leave or remain.

Just thought it would be interesting to find out the prevailing opinion by readers of this blog.
