Family Motto: Spero meliora. (Loosely translated as, "I hope for better things")

Just a thought.
Before we joined the EU we used to address letters home with the last line being "GB" for Great Britain.
Since being in the EU this has changed to "UK" for United Kingdom.
Britain hasn't been Great for some time. Once on it's own it could be again but it needs new leadership to do so. None of the current politicians will do. Perhaps after we have hung them all there will be someone who stands up and takes over.
When Britain leaves the EH, Nigel Farage will forever be rmembered as the man who put the "Great" back in Britain.
ReplyDeleteI thought great was the shortened form of greater, ie including scotland northern ireland and wales.
