Holiday in hell

Today we arrived at our luxury villa, only to find that the place was a tip. It obviously hadn't been cleaned for some time. Cockroaches scurrying across the floor is not acceptable in this day and age. Mrs FE contacted the housekeeper and was informed that it had been cleaned in the morning. The place stank.
However for the time being we let it rest after the cleaner ensured Mrs FE it would be presentable on our return from essential shopping and a meal.

However on our return the condition was still dire. Now you cross Mrs FE at your peril. Especially when she has imbibed a scoop or two. Straight on the phone to the letting agent to give him hell. Give him his due he turned up very, very quickly.

I actually felt quite sorry for him.  I would not like to be harangued by four angry females.

The good news is that we are moving to another Villa of superior standard. The villa is situated on what is known as "millionares heights".

Should be interesting tomorrow.

  1. Sorry, but you really should have cross referenced on Trip Adviser. Treat yourselves to a visit to the German Bakery over in Lagos tomorrow.

  3. Especially when she has imbibed a scoop or two.

Picture flashes into my mind, which promptly goes scrambled.

  4. The reports on trip advisor were all old but good. The caretaker has been sacked.

  5. Shssh...there's an interesting thing going on with the Nantford Guest House in Oxford. The proprietor and his son + one other have been arrested for running a brothel or, rather allowing their dire B&B to be used by the Oxford grooming gangs.

Had anyone bothered to read Trip Advisor, they'd have known a year ago that it was common knowledge in the area that it was operating as a brothel, although that puts an almost benevolent spin on it - the acts were not those of consenting adults.

The photos show the place is absolutely dire, including having bed-bugs. For reasons which nobody seems to understand, Environmental Health have let it stay open, even though they've had hundreds of complaints and the Tourist Information Centre is openly telling guests not to go there if they can avoid it.

I suspect the police need to look more closely at whether the Oxford Environmental Health department is connected to the proprietors in some way.
