No matter what your job, you should always try and make the most of it.....
I believe that in certain African countries, when a man was to be executed by beheading, his ears were attached to two bent palm trees. That way, once the neck was sliced, the head would be catapulted over the tops of the trees.
I think it was meant to be a kind of consolation. I reckon it was a further punishment - imagine flying free over the woods and not being able to go "Wheeeee".
