That’s My WiFi done for then

An extraordinary solar flare - the biggest seen in five years - could interfere with satellite communications and power grids on Earth over the next couple of days, experts have warned.

The effects of the storm are predicted to be moderate and could be felt from around 6pm tonight, lasting for 12 - 24 hours.

Just another public service broadcast.

  1. I'll really larf if it buggers up Sky TV (Hooray!!) and other satellite services like GPS. Can you imagine the nightmare for all the people who've forgotten (or never learnt) how to read a map??

If it knocks your WiFi out you probably won't have any phone & broadband by then, either...

  2. I've still got 75p left on my mobile - does this mean I'm stuffed if I have a break down and try to get through to the AA? - I'm old enough to know that shit happens!
