Bloody Microsoft. I've just spent all afternoon trying to upgrade to Windows 7. Now I've done it before, but that was a clean install. This time I decided to just carry out an upgrade. Mistake.
I've had 6 blue screens of death, but eventually have managed to sort it. I think my next computer is going to be a Mac.
Mine was fine absolutely no problems until activation then ****, **** etc.
ReplyDeleteAbout the idea of your next computer being a Mac, I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that the desktop machines are very very good, and since they run Windows as well there's no downside apart from them not being exactly cheap. You'll also have a chuckle if you network them to any PCs: OS X shows other Macs as little pictures of Pros, Macbooks, iMacs etc but all PCs are shown simply as monitors with the Blue Screen Of Death. The downside is that in the past few years Apple have passed the point at which they believe in their own hype and as a result they've become a bunch of insufferable bastards to have to deal with.
ReplyDeleteAngry Exile, this isn't a new thing with Apple. I bought an Apple computer 'way back in the 1980s, when Apple outlet stores were all corporate. The salesbitch thought she was doing me a favor by selling me the computer. Acted like I wasn't quite good enough to buy it. I swore at the time I'd never buy another Apple product, but, of course, I did, and I"ve been satisfied with the product.
