The first when some water got onto it (it is conveniently mounted underneath the heat exchanger...). I removed it and dried it out. The next time it turned out to be a knackered relay. I got a replacement from Maplin and a few minutes work with the soldering iron had it working perfectly.

Joe Public probably won't approve, but my excuse is that I didn't touch any gas fittings or connections...

It's an old type (not condensing), so is far more reliable anyway.microdavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01352078582764696261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3508346572086151757.post-80196360948124230662011-11-08T10:06:11.454+00:002011-11-08T10:06:11.454+00:00Don't buy a Ravensheat boiler either !Don't buy a Ravensheat boiler either !Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3508346572086151757.post-3137580870949484622011-11-07T19:41:54.103+00:002011-11-07T19:41:54.103+00:00Make sure your condensate is discharging properly,...Make sure your condensate is discharging properly, a quick look at the reservoir will indicate yeah or no.
If your boiler is not of the condensing type - my suggestion will disappear in 30 secs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3508346572086151757.post-74632136090393052502011-11-07T19:19:44.758+00:002011-11-07T19:19:44.758+00:00Fuck Global warming. it's my house I'm int...Fuck Global warming. it's my house I'm interested in.

I've shorted out all the likely culprits such as thermostats, flow switches, etc. looks like it is the PCB.
